JOB DESCRIPTION: Nurse Coordinator
Basic Function:
- Within the mission, vision and values of the hospital and the Division of Nursing Services, provides total patient care for assigned patients and acts as the charge nurse for a shift. Ensures optimal nursing care is provided to patients and coordinates staffing and other patient care activities. Rotates day and night shifts to meet patient requirements.

Registered Nurse with a current Nursing License – E
Diploma in Nursing (Western Standard) -E
Bacheolor Degree in Nursing (for PE/ME/SA Candidates)-E
Minimum of three years current clinical experience in specific area with demonstrated leadership abilities – E
Specific certification as required in area of assignment – E

Unit Profile
Primary Patient Diagnoses / Conditions Medical, Nephrology conditions such as chronic and acute renal failure, Nephritis, Nephrotic syndrome UTI and line sepsis.
Cadaveric and Living related Kidney transplant recipient one-hour post surgery. Kidney rejection, Care of arterio / venous fistula, Permacath insertions for dialysis patients. Pre/post hemodialysis. Care of CAPD patients with complications.
Procedures & Treatments Approaches Patient/Family teaching and support.
Administering of medication, blood, blood products. Pre-operative care.
Close monitoring of post kidney transplant patient from one-hour post surgery.
Assisting procedures such as insertion of central lines, abdominal taps, etc.
Benefits Air Transport On Initial Mobilization: Air Transport, Economy Class, for expatriate employees from designated airport to employment site on initial mobilization.
Excess Baggage Allowance: A fixed amount for excess baggage during mobilization and demobilization shall be granted based on the Country of origin
Overtime Pay: Employees who are required to work overtime will be compensated for every hour of work at 150% of the regular hourly rate based on the employee.s monthly basic salary.
Stand-by Pay: Employees who are required to remain available on stand-by for possible call of duty will be compensated for every hour of standby period at 10% of the regular hourly rate based on employee.s monthly basic salary.
Annual Merit Increase: Annual Merit increase is computed as percentage/step upon recontracting based on annual evaluation.
End of Service Award: End of Service Award consisting of one-half (1/2) month.s basic salary for each of the first five years of service and one (1)month.s basic salary for each year of service thereafter
Recontracting Bonus for Nursing Staff & Some of Allied Health/Clinical Positions: Annual Ticket: Round trip air transport, Excursion Economy Class, from employment site to designated airport for expatriate employees who completed one year of service and are renewing contracts for a minimum of 12 months

Housing Allowance: Employees who are either not offered nor provided of housing by the Program will be eligible to receive Housing allowance
Transportation Allowance: Employees who do not occupy a Program-provided housing and who are not offered transportation to and from work will be eligible to receive a monthly Transportation allowance
Transportation Services: Transportation services from Program-assigned housing to work and back, where available.

Leaves and Holidays
i) Annual Leave: 30 calendar days of paid Annual Leave per contract year.
ii) Holidays: 11 working days of paid Holidays inclusive of Eid Al Fitr, Hajj, and Saudi National Day
iii) Compassionate Leave: Paid Compassionate Leave of seven (7) calendar days, without airline ticket, in the event of
death of employee.s parent, spouse, or child
iv) Sick Leave: Properly documented sick leave with full pay for up to 30 calendar days; and an additional 60 calendar days at 75% of salary, during each year of service.
Business Leave and Travel Allowances: Business leave and Travel Allowances shall be provided in accordance with existing guidelines and policies of National Guard Health Affairs.
Repatriation Ticket: Air Transport, Economy Class from work site (.e.g. Riyadh) to designated International Airport for repatriating expatriate employees who either completed the contract, was terminated by the program, or resigned after one year only
