Complete Description
Providing strategic and operational leadership for the development of the service line so that a full continuum of services is created and structured in response to customer needs (patient, payer and physician). Guiding development of the overall oncology leadership structure, quality initiatives and outcomes and creating goals and plans for growth for the service line. Planning, implementing, directing, monitoring and promoting all current and new cancer programs and services. Formulating budgets and ensuring appropriate profitability and/or revenue maximization for the oncology service line; developing and implementing appropriate marketing and promotional tools to communicate the core messages of the cancer program; managing all human resources in cost-effective and supportive manner; and, managing data capture and analysis, and developing and monitoring oncology outcome data, e.g. service, cost, clinical outcomes. Working with Piedmont Hospital’s Oncology leadership to achieve and maintain Network Accreditation through the American College of Surgeons (ACS), ACR, etc. Participate in development of a network-wide structure and system to track and manage oncology related business activities: patient centric programs such as patient navigation for upstream and downstream capture and management; physician manpower, positioning, and program alliances; financial management and monitoring of product line using key metrics to track success.
Masters degree in healthcare or business administration from a recognized college or university. Working knowledge of the health care industry. Five years of management experience or progressively responsible professional work experience in healthcare administration or a closely related field required. Visionary leader who identifies opportunities for improved customer value. Ability to coach, mentor, and empower staff to do their work; computer literate; ability to perform under stressful and changing circumstances and deadlines; ability to delegate responsibilities and ensure they are rendered effectively.
