An international leader in the pharmaceutical industry is in need of a Director of Oncology Research to lead drug discovery activities for their Oncology team! This position is located in the beautiful, suburban Philadelphia area. If you are not within an easy commute to the City of Brotherly love (Philadelphia) but are open to relocate- please apply! What you need for this position:
-PhD and 8+ years of oncology research
-Pharmaceutical/biotech background
-Proven line management experience of at least 15 Phd’s, MS and BS researchers
-Research experience with Large and Small molecules, working knowledge of biologics
-Proven abilities as a “drug hunter”
-Innovative and strategic thinker
What you’ll be doing:
-Heading up the Oncology Discovery Department – Biologics
-Leading a team of 15+ scientists discovering new compounds for Oncology research, specifically tumor
-Establish, manage and guide project teams to facilitate efficient drug development
- Lead and manage the biologics portfolio from new target entries right through to deliverables which enter Early Development for clinical studies
- Taking overall accountability for the budgets of the Department
